Challenge super match

The Challenge Super Match ( 챌린지 - 슈퍼 매치 ) is a football derby between Seoul E-Land FC and Suwon FC . This derby took place for the first time in the 2015 K League Classic . Seoul E-Land FC and Suwon FC both play in the K League 2 .

history

prehistory

Between Seoul and Suwon since 2004 that exists Super Match , which vorrief a great rivalry between the two cities. In 2013, Suwon FC, a second club from Suwon, and in 2015, Seoul E-Land FC, a second club from the city of Seoul, joined the K League . Since both play in K League 2 , the derby was also called Challenge- (when the derby first took place, the league was still called K League Challenge ) supermatch (based on the supermatch) because of their league affiliation . Football fans also call the derby the mini-super-match (small version of the big derby).
