Kim Jae-sung (born October 3, 1983 ) is a former South Korean soccer player .
Career
Kim Jae-sung started his professional career at Bucheon SK , which became Jeju United in 2006 . In 2008 he moved to the then K-League defending champion Pohang Steelers . In his first season with the Steelers, he was able to establish himself in the regular formation and celebrate the cup victory at the end of the season. The following year he and his team won the AFC Champions League and finished third at the FIFA Club World Cup . In the AFC Champions League final in Tokyo, Kim shot the free kick at Kim Hyung-il , who headed it to make the 2-1 winner against the Saudi Arabian club al-Ittihad . Kim had to do his military service in 2012 and 2013 and played for Sangju Sangmu Phoenix during this time . Then he returned to Pohang. He ended the 2013 season with his team by winning the championship. At the beginning of 2015 he left the club and joined Seoul E-Land FC in K League 2 , but missed promotion with his team. He returned to his former club Jeju United in mid-2016, but was rarely used there. At the beginning of 2017 he moved to Adelaide United in Australia, but could not assert himself there. After a six-month commitment with Jeonnam Dragons , he joined Udon Thani FC in Thailand in early 2018 , where he ended his career.
On January 9, 2010 Kim Jae-sung played his first international match in the South Korean senior team against Zambia. In February he won the East Asian Championship with South Korea, scoring a goal in the 3-1 win in the final against Japan. In summer 2010 he took part in the World Cup in South Africa . It was used a total of 15 times by 2012.
