Kim Hyung-il ( kor. 김형일 ; born April 27, 1984 in Incheon ) is a South Korean football player .

Career

society

Kim Hyung-il began his professional career at Daejeon Citizen , where he moved into the play-off games with his team and took second place in the Newcomer of the Year election . In summer 2008 he moved to the Pohang Steelers . In his first season with the Steelers, he was able to establish himself in the regular formation and celebrate the cup victory at the end of the season. The following year he and his team won the AFC Champions League and third place at the FIFA Club World Cup . In the AFC Champions League final in Tokyo, Kim headed the 2-1 winner against the Saudi Arabian club al Ittihad .

National team

After playing in an unofficial friendly match against Oman in the South Korean national team in June 2009, he played his first official international match in the penultimate qualifying match for the 2010 World Cup on June 10, 2009 against Saudi Arabia. In summer 2010 he took part in the World Cup in South Africa.
