Tancheon Derby
The Tancheon Derby ( 탄천 더비 ) is a football derby between Seongnam FC and Seoul E-Land FC . This derby took place for the first time in 2017 in the K League 2 .
history
prehistory
The FC Seoul and Seongnam FC had had because of their geographical proximity always a derby. After Seongnam FC was relegated from the K League Classic in 2016 , the derby against FC Seoul no longer took place. Instead, they now played against the smaller club from Seoul, Seoul E-Land FC , in the K League Challenge . Due to their geographical proximity and the same seasonal goals (promotion), the Tancheon Derby came about. On April 1, 2017, the derby took place for the first time.
