Annam Derby
The Annam Derby ( 안남 더비 ) is a football derby between Seongnam FC and Ansan Greeners FC . This derby took place for the first time in 2017 in the K League 2 .
history
prehistory
In 2016 Seongnam FC relegated from the K League Classic to the K League Challenge . Ansan Greeners FC was founded in Ansan for the new K-League Challenge season . Ansan and Seongnam are only 47 minutes away by car. The derby came about because of their geographical proximity and because of the Deobureo-minju party . The two mayors of the cities Je Jong-gil (Ansan) and Lee Jae-myeong (Seongnam) are considered political opponents.
