Original Clasico
The original Clasico ( 오리지날 클라시코 ) is a football derby between FC Anyang and Suwon Samsung Bluewings . This derby has been taking place since May 8, 2013. It is the follow-up derby to the super match in South Korea .
history
Before the Anyang LG Cheetahs moved to Seoul in 2003 for the 2004 season , the supermatch was held in Anyang and Suwon . After the club moved to Seoul amid strong protests from Anyang fans , the derby no longer took place in Anyang. From 2004 to 2013 the city had no club and the Anyang Stadium could not be used. In 2013, a club called FC Anyang was founded in Anyang for the newly founded second division . In the very first season both clubs from Anyang and Suwon played against each other again in the cup. The derby is called the Original-Clasico Derby because the supermatch games were played in Anyang for years. They also see FC Seoul as the original club from Anyang, as the club from Seoul played its home games in Anyang for years. Both fan camps are enemies because of their past.
