The Kudremukh National Park is a protected area in India . It was designated in 1987 and is 600.32 km² in size. The name Kudremukh means horse's mouth when translated . It is derived from the appearance of an elevation in the park. The park is characterized by extensive forests. At the turn of the millennium, the area was threatened by mining, among other things.
