The Nanda Devi National Park is a protected area in the Indian state of Uttarakhand . It was designated in 1988 and is protected by UNESCO as a contiguous area with the Valley of Flowers National Park. The name of the park is based on the mountain Nanda Devi . It is a threatened world natural heritage .
