Kim Dong-chan ( kor. 김동찬 ; born April 19, 1986 in Gwacheon ) is a South Korean football player .

Career

Kim Dong-chan learned to play soccer on the university team at Honam University in Gwangsan . He signed his first contract in 2006 with first division club Gyeongnam FC in Changwon . For the club he was on the field 69 times and scored 19 goals. In 2010 he moved to the league competitor Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in Jeonju . From 2013 to 2014 he was loaned to Sangju Sangmu FC . Sangju Sangmu FC is an athletic division of the South Korean military. Therefore, the club's squad consists of young professional football players who are currently doing their military service. Due to the franchise's military status, it is not allowed to sign foreign players. After the end of his contract in Jeonju, he moved to second division Daejeon Citizen in Daejeon in 2016 . For Daejon he played 39 games and scored 20 goals. In 2017 he moved to Thailand . Here he signed a contract in Bangkok with BEC Tero Sasana FC . The club played in the Thai League , the highest league in the country. For the return series, he moved back to South Korea in mid-2017 and joined the second division Seongnam FC . In 2018, league rival Suwon FC signed him.
