Seo Dong-hyeon ( kor. 서동현 ; born June 5, 1985 in Hongcheon ) is a South Korean football player .
Career
society
Seo Dong-hyeon learned to play football on the university team at Konkuk University in Seoul . He signed his first contract in 2006 with the first division club Suwon Samsung Bluewings in Suwon . For the club he was on the field 63 times and scored 15 goals. In 2010 he moved to league rivals Gangwon FC in Gangwon-do . He went to Jeju United , also playing in K League 1, in 2012. Here he signed a 6-year contract. From 2014 to 2015 he was loaned to the second division Asan Mugunghwa FC . Asan Mugunghwa FC is an athletic division of the South Korean military. Therefore, the franchise roster consists of young professional football players who are currently doing their military service. Approximately 15 new players join the franchise each year and stay there for two years before going back to their previous franchises. Due to the franchise's military status, it is not allowed to sign foreign players. Loans to Daejeon Citizen (2016) and Suwon FC (2016–2018) followed. He left South Korea in mid-2018 and went to Thailand . In Thailand he signed a contract with second division Chiangmai FC in Chiangmai . With the club, he finished third in the league and thus rose to the Thai League . He moved to second division side Kasetsart FC from Bangkok in early 2019. Since the contract was not extended in July 2019, he went back to South Korea in mid-2019. Here he joined the third division Gyeongju KHNP FC .
National team
From 2007 to 2008 Seo Dong-hyeon played four times for the South Korean U-23 national team . He wore the jersey of the South Korean national team five times from 2008 to 2012 . He made his national team debut on September 5, 2008 in a friendly against Jordan at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Seoul .
