Im Wan-seob (born August 15, 1971 ) is a former South Korean soccer player and today's coach . He played exclusively for Kookmin Bank FC during his playing career . Most recently he was under contract as a coach at Incheon United .
Career as a player
education
The Wan-seob was trained at the Hanyang Technical High School . He then went to Kookmin Bank FC in the Korea Semi-Professional Football League , the then semi-professional football league.
Player career
After completing his training, he went to Kookmin Bank FC in the semi-professional league. He quickly enjoyed success at Kookmin Bank FC. He won the league cup in 1993 and 1996. He also won the national club cup in 1995. Four years later, in 1999, he ended his career as an active player after 7 years and went back to Hanyang Technical High School as a co-trainer.
Career as a coach
In 2000 he was hired as a co-trainer at Hanyang Technical High School. In 2005 he moved to Hanyang Middle School and was again co-trainer. In mid-2010 he left the Hanyang Middle School in the direction of the then third division club Namyangju Citizen FC , where he became a coach for the first time. This stayed that way until mid-2011, before he then became co-trainer at the then first division club Daejeon Citizen . At the beginning of 2014 he moved to the second division Ansan Mugunghwa FC and became a U18 coach there. A year later he was promoted to co-coach of the 1st team. Together with the team, he was able to celebrate the league championship at the end of the 2016 season. After the club was dissolved, he went to league rivals Gyeongnam FC and was again co-coach. He was also able to celebrate the league championship with the team from Gyeongnam FC at the end of the season. However, he left the club again at the end of the season. Ansan Greeners FC signed him on September 30, 2018 , where he became a coach. Shortly before the end of the season he could not correct much, so he ended the season with the team in 9th place in the table.
