Son Hyun-jun (born March 20, 1972 ) is a former South Korean soccer player who last played for Anyang LG Cheetahs . He was most recently under contract with Daegu FC as a coach. He led Daegu FC as interim coach brought into the K League Classic .
Career as a player

Son Hyun-jun studied at Dong-A University and played for the university team during this time.
Football career in South Korea
Hyun-jun was signed to LG Cheetahs FC after graduating from university . He stayed with the Cheetahs for 3 years before joining Busan Daewoo Royals in 1999 . He scored 1 goal for LG Cheetahs in 69 appearances. However, he did not stay long in Busan. At the end of 1999 he moved back to his old club Anyang LG Cheetahs after only 10 missions in Busan. There he played 3 more years before ending his career in 2003. He came to 40 missions for Anyang by the end of his career.
Career as a coach
From 2004 he was under contract as co-coach of the 2nd team at FC Seoul . He stayed there until the end of 2005. He did not renew his contract with FC Seoul. In 2007 he was featured at Daegu FC . There he was a scout on the one hand and a co-trainer on the other. He performed this function until the end of 2011. In 2012 he moved to the National League club Gimhae FC and was co-coach there until 2014. At the beginning of 2015 he moved back to Daegu FC and was hired there as co-coach. He was employed as a co-trainer until the end of the 2016 season . After the coach of Daegu FC resigned, he became an interim coach and was transferred to the duties of the old coach. After a very tight season, promotion to the K League Classic was clear at the end of the season . The club's rise is his first success as a coach. At the end of 2016 he was introduced as a coach for the 2017 season. This is the first time he has been employed as a coach in his coaching career. His first season as a coach did not go well. With Daegu FC he was surprisingly eliminated in the 4th round against Gyeongnam FC with 1: 2. Even in the league, he could hardly record any success. The club has been in a relegation battle since the first matchday. His club could never briefly occupy a top place in the table. In addition, the club was on the penultimate place since the 9th matchday. On May 22, 2017, the club announced that he had been sacked as a coach.
