The Korean Football Supercup was a South Korean football competition in which the South Korean champions and the South Korean Cup winners (FA Cup) from the previous season met in a single game at the beginning of a season . The competition was held with an interruption between 1999 and 2006 and took place in the stadium of the South Korean champions. In 2003 the Supercup was not held because the champion Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma had no time on the scheduled date due to the games in the AFC Champions League (first time in its current form) and the cup winner Suwon Samsung Bluewingshad a training camp abroad. In 2007 the Supercup was discontinued. Instead, last season's champions play against the cup winners on the first day of the new season. The record winners were the Suwon Samsung Bluewings with three wins.
