The 1998 K-League was the sixteenth season of the top South Korean soccer league . The league consisted of ten clubs. They each played against each other twice.
This season there were new rules for points. There were 3 points for a win, 2 points for a win by a "golden goal" and 1 point for a win by a penalty shoot-out.
