The Cheonan Oryong Stadium was a football stadium in the South Korean city of Cheonan , Chungcheongnam-do . The stadium opened in 1983.
The stadium was used as the home ground by Lucky Goldstar Hwangso from 1987 to 1989 and by Cheonan Ilhwa Chunma FC between 1996 and 1999 .
In 1999 the city council announced that they wanted to build a new football stadium, the Cheonan Stadium . After the completion of the new stadium, the Cheonan Oryong Stadium was no longer used. The city therefore decided in 2009 to demolish the stadium.
