Fall Line is a 1980 short film directed by Bob Carmichael and Greg Lowe .

The film takes a look at the new extreme sport of extreme skiing and follows a man to the top of a mountain. This is where this ski docks and begins to descend the mountain on daring routes. Accidents are inevitable: With the first one he loses his backpack, with the second even his skis, while he himself slides into the depths. However, both falls do not prevent the man from continuing, and so he soon reaches lighter regions and the valley can be seen.

Fall Line was filmed in Grand Teton National Park , Wyoming . The narrator of the film is Ron Hayes . The film images are underlaid with the plays Ard-Na-Greine by Pierre Moerlen and An American in England by Hansford Rowe .
