Jason Davidson (born June 29, 1991 in Melbourne ) is an Australian - Greek soccer player .

Career

society

Jason Davidson began his career in Japan with a high school club in Tokyo. In 2009 he then moved to Hume City FC in his home country. However, only after a year there, the youth department of FC Paços de Ferreira committed him . There he rose quickly and had at least one place on the bench of the senior team. At the Portuguese club, he came in the Primeira Liga on 5 games without a goal. During his time there he was awarded to SC Covilhã , the second division had a regular place for him. After his return, his contract with Paços was dissolved. Half a year later, Heracles Almelo took him on. He made his debut in the Eredivisie on March 25, 2012 in a 3-1 win over FC Utrecht . In August 2014 Davidson moved to England in the Premier League at West Bromwich Albion , where he received a 1-year contract. In a Premier League game, revived an opponent and made Premier League history by showing a rare mercy. In early July he moved within the Premier League to Huddersfield Town , which in turn awarded him to FC Groningen in the Netherlands after one season . After his return he moved to Croatia in the 1st HNL to HNK Rijeka . The second half of the season there he was on loan from NK Olimpija Ljubljana with whom he won the double from the Slovenian championship and the Slovenian cup in 2018. After returning to Rijeka, he moved back to his homeland, to Perth Glory in Australia . In July 2019 he went to South Korea to Ulsan Hyundai , where he was initially out for a long time due to a lack of training, but after that he had a regular place with the Koreans. He made his K League 1 debut on October 2, 2019 against Gangwon FC (2-0).

National team

Davidson began his international career with the U-20 selection of Australia , where he was allowed to make six games before he was discovered by the A-team and was appointed to the squad by the then national coach Holger Osieck . He made his debut for the Socceroos on August 15, 2012 when he came on in a friendly against Greece (3-1) in the 60th minute. Also in the 2014 FIFA World Cup and winning the 2015 AFC Asian Cup Davidson was in the squad of Australians. In November 2015 he made his last game in the World Cup qualification for the Socceroos 2018 against Bangladesh (4-0 win).
