Luke DeVere (born November 5, 1989 in Melbourne ) is an Australian football player in the service of the A-League club Brisbane Roar .

Career

After two years at the Queensland Academy of Sport and the Australian Institute of Sport , DeVere signed a professional contract with Queensland Roar in 2008 . There he was able to fight for a regular place in central defense alongside Craig Moore in his first season .

DeVere has been part of the Australian U-20 squad since 2007 . In 2008 he led the team as captain at the U-19 Asian Cup and came with the team to the semi-finals, which meant qualifying for the 2009 Junior World Cup in Egypt.

On January 1, 2011, he moved to the K-League to Gyeongnam FC in South Korea . Since summer 2014 he has been back in the A-League for Brisbane Roar .
