Thiago dos Santos Cunha , or simply Thiago Cunha (born April 25, 1985 in Volta Redonda ), is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Thiago Cunha learned to play football in the youth teams of CA da Barra da Tijuca and Rio Branco AC in Brazil and in the youth team of Wigan Athletic in England . It was here that he signed his first contract in 2005. In 2006 he moved to Spain and joined Ciudad de Murcia from Murcia . In 2008 he left Europe and went back to his homeland. He came to Thailand in 2013 through the Brazilian clubs Iraty SC , Palmeiras São Paulo , Vila Nova FC , Desportivo Brasil , Nacional AC , FC Treze , CA Bragantino , Santa Cruz FC and Guaratinguetá Futebol . Here he signed a contract with Chonburi FC . The club from Chonburi played in the country's first division, the Thai Premier League . With the club he was runner-up in 2014 and was in the final of the FA Cup . The final was lost 1-0 to the first division club Bangkok Glass . After 70 games and 52 goals, he moved to second division Port FC in Bangkok in 2016 . After the end of the season in September, he went to India where he joined Mumbai City FC for two months . The club from Mumbai played in the first division, the Indian Super League . At the beginning of 2017 he went back to Brazil, where the Londrina EC signed him. The club from Londrina played until mid-March 2017. PS Barito Putera , a club from Banjarmasin on the island of Borneo , signed him from mid-March. For the 2017 back series, he rejoined his former club Chonburi FC. He has been without a contract or a club since the end of the 2017 season.
