Career

society

Teerasil began his career on the football team at Assumption Thonburi College , where he went to school. In 2006 he signed his first amateur contract with FC Raj Pracha . A year later he was loaned to the Airforce Training College team for a half series . For another half series it then went to the then third division Muang Thong United . In July 2007 it was announced that Teerasil will complete a trial training at Manchester City together with Suree Sukha and Kiatprawut Saiwaeo . The club's owner at the time, Thaksin Shinawatra , had arranged the trial training. All three got a contract with City a short time later . Due to visa problems, however, the player was "parked" abroad a short time later. Teerasil was loaned to the Grasshopper Club Zurich . He was nominally in the squad of the second team, but was never used there. Since he only had a Swiss tourist visa, he was loaned out again a short time later. This time, however, he went back home, to his old club Raj Pracha. The contract with Manchester City was officially terminated in October 2008. Since the 2009 season he has been playing for the Premier League newcomer Muang Thong United. He signed a five-year contract. In his first full season at Muang Thong United, he did not disappoint. He scored seven goals in 25 games. He was also able to celebrate his first championship with the club at the end of the season.

The 2018 season he was loaned to the Japanese club Sanfrecce Hiroshima in Hiroshima . For the club, which played in the J1 League, the country's highest league, he completed 32 games and scored six goals. After his contract with Muangthong expired in December 2019, he moved back to Japan. Here he signed a contract with Shimizu S-Pulse . The club from Shimizu in Shizuoka Prefecture also plays in the J1 League .

National team

He began his career in the national team in the U-16 / U-17 of Thailand in 2004. He was part of the squad that took part in the finals of the 2004 U-17 Asian Cup. Two years later he also managed to be part of the U-19 squad that took part in the Asian Championships. At the U-19 championships he scored the 1-0 against the United Arab Emirates . The game ended 2-1 for Thailand and it was the only win of the tournament for the team. Teerasil has played for both the U-23 and the country's men's team since 2007. He was part of the 2007 Olympic selection trying to qualify for the 2008 Summer Olympics . In December 2007 he won the gold medal with the U-23 at the Southeast Asian Games .
In the same year he had his first appointment in the men's squad. He was part of the squad for the final round of the 2007 Asian Football Championship . He had thus participated in three different age groups in the final round of the Asian Football Championship within three years. On October 8, 2007, he met for the first time for the Thai men's
national soccer team . His next big tournament was the ASEAN soccer championships in 2008. There he was able to reach the final with Thailand. He scored four goals over the course of the tournament. He managed one of them in the final of the tournament against Vietnam . In the second leg of the final, he scored 1-0 for Thailand. This result would have brought Thailand into overtime, but Vietnam equalized shortly before the end of the game. Thus Teerasil was denied his first title with the men.
