Worrawoot Srimaka ( Thai : วร วุฒิ ศรี มะ ฆะ , born December 8, 1971 in Nakhon Pathom ) is a former Thai football player.

Career

society

Worrawoot began his career in 1991 with FC Thai Farmers Bank and achieved great success with the club right at the beginning of his young career. He was champion three times with the club. Won the AFC Champions League twice and the Queen's Cup twice . In 1996 he moved to BEC-Tero Sasana with whom he was also twice champion. In 2003 he reached the final of the AFC Champions League again. He was in the starting line-up in both games of the final. In the end they were defeated by the Al Ain Club after two legs . In 1998 and 2002 he was the top scorer in the Thai Premier League . In 2002/03 he went to Malaysia for a short time for the Kelantan FA . However, he could not prevent the team from qualifying for the new first division at the end of the season. Back at BEC-Tero, he moved to Pisico Bình Định in Vietnam in 2004 . With the club he played again in the Champions League in 2005. His goal in the group game against the Thai club FC Krung Thai Bank means Bình Định's first victory in the Champions League after 9 straight games without a win. In 2007 he returned to Thailand and initially played for Chonburi FC. In summer 2008 he finally moved to the FC Customs Department and ended his active career there.

National team

Worrawoot played for the Thai national team from 1996 to 2002. He scored 28 goals in 63 appearances. He scored his first international goal on July 4, 1996 against the national team of the Maldives . In the same year he also won the ASEAN soccer championship in 1996 with the team . Two more titles at the ASEAN championship followed in 2000 and 2002. With five goals he was the tournament's top scorer in 2000. He scored three of his five goals in the final against Indonesia . He scored these three goals within 18 minutes and scored a flawless hat trick . In his two appearances in the Southeast Asian Games, he won gold medals with the national team in 1997 and 1999.
