The FC Thai Farmers Bank ( Thai : สโมสร ฟุตบอล ธนาคาร กสิกร ไทย ) is a former Thai football club that last played in the Thailand Premier League .

history

The club was founded in 1987 and was one of the most successful clubs in the country during the short period of its existence. In the course of the Asian crisis in 1997, the shares of the club owner and sponsor, the "Thai Farmers Bank" ( today: Kasikorn Bank ) fell by 49%, which resulted in a takeover of the bank. As the crisis persisted, however, it was decided to de-register and dissolve the club in 2000 after the end of the season. Until then, in 13 years of existence, it was able to win the championship four times and, to date, the only club in Thailand to win the AFC Champions League . The most successful coach in the club's only 13-year history was Charnwit Polcheewin . He coached FC Thai Farmers Bank for 9 years, from 1991 to 2000. He led the club to 4 championships, winning the Afro-Asian Cup and winning the AFC Champions League twice .

Stadion

The club played its home game at the Kasikorn Bank Stadium in Bangkok . The stadium was owned by Kasikorn Bank .
