Choketawee Promrut ( Thai โชค ทวี พรหม รัตน์ , RTGS Chokthawi Promrat , nickname Chok ; born March 16, 1975 in Amphoe Thai Mueang , Phang Nga Province ) is a Thai football player on the position of a defender . He plays for the FC Customs Department in the Thailand Division 1 League .
Career
society
Choketawee began his career with the then winners of the AFC Champions League , FC Thai Farmers Bank . In 1995 he was with the club of Thai champions, was able to win the Queen's Cup and counts as a winner of the AFC Champions League 1995. He was able to win the Queen's Cup two more times, and Choketawee moved to Singapore in the S-League at the end of the 2000 season . There he played one year for Gombak United and two more for Tanjong Pagar United . He returned to Thailand in 2002 and played for the Thai Premier League newcomer FC Bangkok Christian College . But even Choketawee could not prevent the club from relegating to the second division. He stayed for another year with the club and played with him in the Thailand Division 1 League , but did not succeed in direct promotion. In 2004 he went to Singapore again for a year, this time to the Tampines Rovers . The stopover at Hoàng Anh Gia Lai was followed by the return to the rovers . At Hoang Anh Gia Lai he played with Tawan Sripan , Kiatisak Senamuang and Dusit Chalermsan . The club did not manage to triumph again in the championship and thus qualify for the AFC Champions League. Since the club had too many foreigners in the squad, it was decided to dismiss Choketawee from his contract. After a short stay in Malaysia with the Johor FC club , he finally went back to Thailand. He signed a contract with FC Provincial Electricity Authority and was able to win his second championship title in Thailand with this club. Choketawee has been playing in the second Thai division for the FC Customs Department since 2009 .
National team
For the national team of Thailand he played his first major tournament in 1994. With the U-23 team , he took part in the 1994 Asian Games . Probably in 1997 he played for the seniors for the first time. In 1998 he took part in the ASEAN soccer championships with the national team and was the team that was involved in a scandal in the preliminary round match. In the final and decisive group game, neither Thailand nor Indonesia wanted to win the game, because the winner of the game - and thus the group winner - should have competed in the semi-finals in Vietnam. However, neither team was interested in playing there. After the first half ended 0-0, there were 5 more goals in the second half. The last goal came from an own goal by Indonesian player Mursyid Effendi in the 89th minute. The Indonesian goalkeeper made no move to hold the ball and Thailand was in the semi-finals. Thailand went down 3-0 against Vietnam in the semi-finals. In the 3-0 draw against Vietnam he was in the starting line-up.
In 1999 he won the gold medal with the team at the Southeast Asian Games . It was his first and only chance to participate in the tournament. From 2001 the tournament was limited to U-23 players. Both 2000 and 2004 he was part of the squad of the team that took part in the Asian soccer championships . Both times he was unable to help Thailand win either. His last major tournament that he was able to play was the 2007 ASEAN football championship . In the final, he lost to the team of the Singapore national team .
In 2001 Choketawee was part of the national team, which played a friendly against Manchester United .
