The ASEAN soccer championship in 2002 was the fourth edition of the competition. The championship was hosted by Indonesia and Singapore . All Southeast Asian national soccer teams that belonged to the ASEAN Football Federation are eligible to participate .

The soccer tournament took place from December 15 to December 29, 2002 in Indonesia and Singapore. The participating countries were:
The game was played in two groups of five or four teams. The group winners and runners-up met in the semi-finals, the winners of the semi-finals then determined the winner of the ASEAN championship 2002. The semi-final losers played off the tournament third.
