The Singapore National Stadium is a multifunctional stadium in Kallang , Singapore . It opened on June 30, 2014, replacing the old national stadium in the same location, which closed in 2007 and demolished in 2010. The stadium is part of the Singapore Sports Hub complex, which also includes a swimming pool, a museum, a library, a shopping center and the Singapore Indoor Stadium . The stadium contains a movable roof. Depending on the seating configuration, it has a capacity of 55,000 seats for football and rugby, 52,000 seats for cricket and 50,000 seats for athletics.
It is also the home stadium of the Singapore soccer and Singapore national cricket teams .
