Pipat Thonkanya ( Thai : พิพัฒน์ ต้น กันยา , born January 4, 1979 in Bangkok ) is a former Thai football player on the position of a striker .
Career
Pipat began his career in the youth team of FC Raj-Pracha in 1997. From 1999 he also played for the senior team of the club until he moved to the V-League to Boss Bình Định in Vietnam at the end of 2001 . He was able to celebrate his first title with the club. Both 2003 and 2004 he won the Vietnamese Cup with the club. He also scored nine goals in his first season. He then moved within the league to FC Đồng Tháp . With the club, however, he rose in 2005 to the second Vietnamese league. After he was able to achieve direct promotion with the club and his contract had expired, he went back to Thailand. From 2006 to 2007 he played for the former AFC Champions League finalist BEC-Tero Sasana . In 2008 he celebrated his first championship. After moving from BEC-Tero to FC PEA , he played a major role in ensuring that his new club won the title. In 2009 he played for FC Thai Port . With the club he won the Thai FA Cup . It became the hero of the finals. In the penalty shootout, he converted the last and decisive penalty. That same evening, he announced to fans that he was leaving the club. Since October 2009 he has been playing in the Indonesia Super League for Persisam Putra Samarinda . With his goal to 1: 1 in the 80th minute of the game against Persijap Jepara , he made a successful debut.
He played for the country's national team for the first time in 2000. He was on the King's Cup squad and took part in the finals of the 2000 and 2007 Asian soccer championships . He was also part of the Thai squad at the 2007 ASEAN soccer championship .
