Đồng Tháp is a football club from Cao Lãnh, Vietnam . He currently plays in the highest league in the country, the V-League . The club plays its home games at the Cao Lãnh Stadium. The club is considered an elevator team and despite everything has already won the championship twice. For the 2007 season, the club tried to commit the then coach of the Thai national team , Charnwit Polcheewin . Although there was already agreement and Charnwit would have received the record sum of 15,000 USD , he still did not take the post. At the end of the 2007 season, the club then rose from the V-League and was able to achieve immediate promotion in 2008. After 3rd place in the 2nd league, they met the higher-class opponent Boss Bình Định in the relegation and could prevail 1-0 in the end.
