Kim Seung-yong ( kor. 김승용 ; born March 14, 1985 in Seoul ) is a South Korean football player .
Career
Kim Seung-yong signed his first contract in 2004 with FC Seoul , a club that played in the K League 1 . From 2007 to 2008 he was loaned to Sangju Sangmu FC from Sangju . Sangju Sangmu FC is an athletic division of the South Korean military. Therefore, the franchise roster consists of young professional football players who are currently doing their military service. Approximately 15 new players join the franchise each year and stay there for two years before going back to their previous franchises. Due to the franchise's military status, it is not allowed to sign foreign players. After the end of his contract, he moved to league competitor Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in Jeonju in 2010 . After four games, he went to Japan in 2011 and played one season for Gamba Osaka in the J. League . He returned to South Korea in 2012 and joined the first division club Ulsan Hyundai . By 2013 he had played 61 times for the club. In 2014 he moved to Australia . Here he signed a contract with the Central Coast Mariners from Gosford , a club that played in the A-League . After a year he left Australia and went to China to play for Qingdao Huanghai in China League One , the country's second division. In 2016 he moved to Thailand . Here he signed a contract with the first division club Buriram United from Buriram . After the series he was loaned to the league rivals Suphanburi FC for the return series . In 2017 he went back to his homeland. Here he played for the first division club Gangwon FC from 2017 to 2018 . After 49 games, he signed a contract with Incheon United, also playing in the first division , in 2019 . Here he is still under contract today.
