Lee Hyun-Woong ( kor. 이현웅 ; born April 27, 1988 ) is a South Korean football player .

Career

Lee Hyun-Woong learned to play football in the university team at Yonsei University in Seoul . He signed his first contract in 2010 with Daejeon Citizen , a club that played in K League 1 and is based in Daejeon . After 65 games he moved in 2013 to league rivals Suwon Samsung Bluewings in Suwon . From 2014 to 2015 he was loaned to Sangju Sangmu FC from Sangju . Sangju Sangmu FC is an athletic division of the South Korean military. Therefore, the franchise roster consists of young professional football players who are currently doing their military service. Approximately 15 new players join the franchise each year and stay there for two years before going back to their previous franchises. Due to the franchise's military status, it is not allowed to sign foreign players. In mid-2016 he went to Thailand . Here he signed a contract with the first division club Super Power Samut Prakan FC . After six months, he returned to his homeland in 2017 and joined Gyeongnam FC from Changwon . The season 2017 was coming to Anyang for FC Anyang borrowed. After his contract with Gyeongnam expired at the end of 2018, he has been without a club since the beginning of 2019.
