Elizeu Araújo de Melo Batista (born May 28, 1989 in Recife ), also called Elizeu , is a Brazilian football player .
Career
Elizeu learned to play football in the youth team of Sport-PE in Brazil. Until 2009 he was under contract with Sport Recife in Recife in the state of Pernambuco . Until the end of 2011 he played for the Brazilian clubs Internacional Porto Alegre B, Mirassol FC , Botafogo FR and Palmeiras São Paulo U20. From the latter he was loaned from July 2011 to December 2012 to the Portugal- based association Nacional Funchal . The club from Funchal on Madeira played in the country's first division, the Primeira Liga . After the loan he was firmly committed by Nacional. The 2012/2013 season he played at league competitor GD Estoril Praia in Estoril . In mid-2013 he returned to his homeland. Here he was under contract with EC Vitória , AA Ponte Preta , Comercial FC , FC Treze and CS Alagoano . In mid-2017 he went to Asia . Here he signed a contract with Suphanburi FC . The club from Thailand played in the highest league in the country, the Thai League . In the second half of the season he played fourteen games and scored two goals. At the end of 2017, his contract was not renewed. Petaling Jaya City FC , a club from Petaling Jaya , Malaysia that played in the Malaysia Super League , signed him from February 2018.
