Artabanos I.
Artabanos I was a Parthian king who lived from 126 to 122 BC. Ruled. He was an uncle of Phraates II , who had perished in the defensive battles against the inner-Asian peoples who threatened the eastern border of the Parthian Empire. Artabanos I was also killed in these battles, while at the same time the Parthian Empire in the west was in disintegration. Individual provinces like the Charakene declared their independence.
