The arteria gastrica dextra ("right gastric artery") is an artery of the abdominal cavity in the area of the upper abdomen . It arises from the arteria hepatica propria , in about one third of the cases in humans from the arteria hepatica commonis .

The arteria gastrica dextra runs to the stomach gate ( pylorus ) and then runs along the small curvature of the stomach . There it anastomoses with the left artery of the same name ( arteria gastrica sinistra ) and together with it supplies this area of the stomach wall.
