Arteriae gastricae breves

The arteriae gastricae breves (from Latin gaster " stomach " and brevis "short"; "short gastric arteries") are several short arterial blood vessels that arise from the end section of the splenic artery . There are five to seven such Aa in humans. gastricae breves formed. They move from left to right in the large network to the greater curvature of the stomach, where they anastomose with the right gastroomental artery and the left gastroomental artery . The arteriae gastricae breves mainly supply the wall of the base of the stomach ( fundus ).
