The aryepiglottic fold ( Latin: Plica aryepiglottica ) is a fold of the mucous membrane in the throat ( pharynx ). It is an anatomical sub-district of the hypopharynx and extends on both sides from the epiglottis to the adjusting cartilage ( Cartilago arytaenoides ). It forms the lateral edge of the entrance to the larynx ( aditus laryngis ).

There are two small elevations on the aryepiglottic folds: the tuberculum cuneiforme and the tuberculum corniculatum .

In the throat singing undertones in undertone singing, the aryepiglottic folds are set in vibration together with the vocal cords.
