As Aschköter one called the workers in brick kilns with circular kiln plants whose job it was the ash from the plants to remove.

In the Mildenberg brickworks , which can now be viewed as the “ Mildenberg Ziegeleipark ” museum, these ring kilns were operated by migrant workers mainly from the Lipperland in Westphalia . The ashes were at the bottom of the hierarchy of workers.
