Azerbaijani Hope Party
The Azerbaijani Hope Party ( Azerbaijani Azərbaycan Ümid Partiyası ) is a political party in Azerbaijan with currently just over 55,000 party members. It was officially registered in 1993. The chairman is Iqbal Agasade, the party leader Abulfar Akhmedov (Akhmadov).
It is one of the most important opposition parties in the Azerbaijani political system and is politically more center-right . She is also committed to liberal and democratic reforms in society in the country.
In the parliamentary election on November 6, 2006, she won one of the 125 seats to be awarded, while the previous year she held 30 seats in parliament.
