Asphalt bubble

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An asphalt bubble is a bulge in the road surface . It is caused by the fact that water trapped in the asphalt evaporates and pushes the ceiling upwards. Midsummer temperatures are enough.

Colloquially , a fairly small car is also called an asphalt bubble. This often refers to the BMW Isetta or a Smart Fortwo . In the GDR this was a joke description of the Trabant car model there .
