The Asprokremmos Reservoir is a reservoir in Cyprus . It is the second largest in the country.
location
The lake is located in the district of Paphos , about 15 km east of the capital Paphos . It has a length of 2.5 km and a maximum width of 900 m. The reservoir is only about 3 km from the sea.
Storage space
Due to the Mediterranean climate (dry summer - humid winter), the lake is only filled in the winter months. This caused the lake to overflow for the first time in 7 years in January 2012.
