The Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) is a European lobby organization for market-leading companies in the financial sector, based in London. Numerous major European and international banks, insurance companies and financial institutions are affiliated with it, including ABN AMRO , Allianz , AXA Investment, Bank of America Meryll Lynch, BlackRock , Blackstone Group , Citigroup , Commerzbank , Credit Suisse , Deutsche Bank , Fitch Ratings , Google Cloud , JP Morgan Chase , Moody's , PricewaterhouseCoopers , Standard & Poor's and UBS . AFME claims that it is committed to "comprehensive and integrated European capital markets that meet the needs of companies and investors [and] promote economic growth". It sees itself as the "voice of all European financial markets for corporate customers" and aims to offer "specialist knowledge on a wide variety of regulatory and capital market issues". AFME emerged in 2009 from a merger of LIBA (London Investment Banking Association) and SIFMA (European arm of the Securities Industries and Financial Markets Association). The chairman of the board is Simon Lewis. According to Lobbyfacts.eu , the organization works with an annual budget of EUR 4,750,000 to EUR 4,999,999.
