Association chain

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An association chain is a stringing together (chain formation) of links that conventionally consist of words or even entire sentences. The links each form an association with the preceding one. Thus, an association chain has no end and can be continued at will. Because of the connections that every person produces with certain elements in their brain, an association cannot be described as “wrong” or “right”, because it is mostly made through past experiences or occurs in the unconscious , so that the connection is not rational can be justified.

It is also possible to create chains of associations from images, but this is not often practiced.
