Assy McGee is an American adult animated series about a walking rump acting as a cop and detective. The series was shown on Adult Swim between November 26, 2006 and July 6, 2008 . The show was created by Matt Harrigan and Carl W. Adams , both of whom have already worked for Adult Swim, the latter as sound engineer for Der kleine Meisterdirisseur from 2001.

The first six-episode season aired in the United States from November 26, 2006 through January 14, 2017 on Adult Swim . The 14-part second season was shown there from April 6 to July 6, 2008. In Germany, only the first four episodes ran weekly on Tuesday around 10 p.m. in August 2010 on the pay TV channel TNT Serie .
While the series did not appear on DVD in the US, both seasons were released together in one box in 2011 in Australia. In Germany the DVD for the show Stroker & Hoop (another adult swim series) contains all four synchronized episodes as a bonus feature.
