Atelier ( Jap. アンダーウェア , Andāwea for English. Underwear , dt. "Underwear") is a Japanese television series ( drama ) of the streaming provider Netflix , in co-production with the television station Fuji Television . It consists of 13 episodes. These are also available on Netflix in Germany, but so far only in the original language with German (and other language) subtitles.

Mayuko Tokita, is a young woman who grew up on Japan's northernmost island, Hokkaido . After studying fashion at university, Mayuko started her career at a high-end lingerie label in Tokyo called Emotion. Soon she has to realize that life in the city and in the industry is far different from what she previously dreamed of.
