Atharvaa Murali , also just Atharvaa ( Tamil அதர்வா முரளி ; born May 7, 1989 in Chennai , Tamil Nadu , India ), is a Tamil actor .

Life

Atharvaa was born the second of three children. He has an older sister (Kavya) and a younger brother (Aakash). His father, Murali Siddalingaiah Dhanalakshmi , was a famous actor , as was his grandfather, S. Siddalingaiah . After graduating from high school, he decided to pursue an acting career.

Career

In 2009 he got the chance to play the lead role in the film Baana Kaathadi , by Sathya Jyothi Films with director Badri Venkatesh . In 2010 he received the Edison Award for Best Young Actor. After his father suddenly passed away in 2010, he took a break to be with his family.

A year later, Tamil director Gautham Menon contacted Atharvaa for an offer. Arthavaa then played the leading role in the romantic thriller film Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal . Both the film and its acting received very good reviews. He received his greatest success with the film Paradesi under film director Bala Subramanian . He has received several awards including Filmfare Award for Best Actor - Tamil . The last big film in which he played the leading role is Chandi Veeran (German: "rural hero") from 2015.

In 2016 he announced that he had founded his own film studio under the name Kickass Entertainment . Shortly afterwards it was announced that the first film was already in progress. The director is Badri Venkatesh, who has supported him since 2009.
