The Atikhisar Dam ( Turkish Atikhisar Barajı ) is located on the Sarıçay River in the Çanakkale Province in northwestern Turkey .
The dam, located 15 km southwest of the provincial capital Çanakkale , was built between 1971–1975 for the purpose of irrigation, flood protection and drinking water supply. The barrier structure is a 43 m (above valley floor) high earth embankment dam . The dam volume is 1.99 million m³. The reservoir covers an area of 3.3 km² and has a storage volume of 40 million m³. The dam is designed for the irrigation of an area of 5200 ha. The D210 trunk road (Çan – Çanakkale) runs not far from the eastern shore of the lake.
