Atlantic Media is a private American media group owned by David G. Bradley . He publishes The Atlantic , Government Executive and Defense One magazines. The National Journal Group subsidiary publishes the National Journal , The Hotline , National Journal Daily and Technology Daily . From 1984 to 2014 Atlanc Media published The Almanac of American Politics and from 2012 to 2018 the company owned the Quartz website .

In 1997 David G. Bradley took over the National Journal Group and in 1999 the traditional Atlantic Monthly . In 2012 the website Quartz ( qz.com ) was launched, which was sold by Atlantic Media to the Japanese company Uzabase in 2018.
