Atsuo Takanishi
Atsuo Takanishi ( Japanese 高 西 淳 夫 , Takanishi Atsuo ; * 1956 ) is a Japanese robotics scientist and university professor. He is co-director of the Institute for Humanoid Robots at Waseda University in Tokyo and has been involved in research projects aimed at developing humanoid robots for more than 20 years .
His current research interests include a two-legged robotic litter (which enables paraplegic people to overcome stairs), generally two-legged robots and a flute-playing robot. He has also participated in Sony's adjusted entertainment robot Qrio cooperated.
