Attraction (from French attraction = attraction, Latin ad trahere = pulling towards oneself) stands for:

  • Attraction , for example through gravity in the earth's gravity field
  • Sight , (synonymous expression)
  • Public attraction , a special feature or a person who presents a special service at an event and can thus arouse special interest in the audience
  • Ride , run , show or other attraction, as a synonymous expression in amusement parks
  • Attraction and repulsion , expressions in philosophy: In phenomenology, the pair of terms attraction and repulsion appears in relation to the strange and the new. An example: something strange and unknown exerts a fascination and attraction on the observer - attraction - but also, due to its novelty, also a shyness - caution and restraint - repulsion.
  • Adaptation of a dominated language form to a dominant one, usually within a sentence
