Running business is the common term for amusement shops and entertainment systems, such as adventure simulation systems, disaster simulation systems, ghost trains without transport systems, mirror labyrinths and so-called "fun houses". In the broadest sense, they are part of the Dark Rides .

The guest covers the whole way on foot and usually passes different stations or rooms in which individual shows or special effects are presented. Animatronics or human scares are often used.

In a fun house, elements such as wobbly bridges, rotating discs on the floor, slides, rotating bins and the like are used. In many running deals, elements of the different types are combined.

The construction of transportable run-of-the-mill business usually takes place by stacking containers. Modern systems have so-called " collapsible containers " that are moved apart via pneumatics or hydraulics and can thus reach up to four times the height. This is followed by the interior work and the cladding of the shop using front panels and decorative elements. Up to 12 transports are necessary for moving large running deals.

Some running shops are designed according to the boss principle , where a room with a small show is arranged after long walks through the containers.
