Aturias

According to Strabo ( Geographika 16, 2), Aturia was an ancient landscape in northern Mesopotamia . It bordered on Arbela in the Artakenê , from which it was separated by the Lykos . The most important settlement was Ninus in the plain, which is mostly identified with the Assyrian Niniveh . Also Gaugamela is by Strabon ( Geographika 6, 4) in Aturien.
