Auchenskeoch Castle , also Auchenskeoch Tower , is the ruin of a residential tower near Dalbeattie in the Scottish county of Kirkcudbrightshire (now Dumfries and Galloway administrative unit ). The 17th century ruin is said to have had a Z-shaped floor plan, making it the only building of its kind in Galloway . The ruins are listed as a Scheduled Monument . The remains of the residential tower are on the grounds of the modern Castle Farm .
